Gulzar is a leading song writer and film director in Bollywood. Born in the small Pakistani Punjab town of Dina, he migrated to Bombay at the time of the creation of the Republics of India and Pakistan in 1947.

Gulzar is a talented Urdu song writer and has many beautiful songs to his credit. All of his songs have been set to riveting musical compostions by the likes of R.D. Burman and Vishal.
