The video below was messaged to Dareechah and highlights a cruel and disturbing example of the real face of Mosque Schools in Pakistan … the religious instructor or maulvi in Pakistan's Mosque Schools is given total immunity to beat children admitted as students in the mosque school. This video shows a Religious Instructor or maulvi brutally beating up a 5 or 6 year old boy admitted to the mosque school to learn the Quran. These teaching methods, if they can be called that, are the tip of the iceberg. Many hundreds of young Pakistani boys and girls have suffered serious injuries at the hands of Religious Instructors in Pakistan's mosque schools and many have died due to these beatings as well. Incidences of sexual assaults and rapes also get reported off and on in the Pakistani press … although, these days, the Pakistani State apparatus tries to suppress such news e.g. the rape of 7 or 8 year old boy by a maulvi in a mosque school in Lahore was suppressed and a barber was named as the accused even though the naked body of the boy hanging from the ceiling fan was found inside the mosque. Similarly, the murder of Qandeel Baloch, a Pakistani model and actress, is strongly rumored to involve Mufti Qavi inciting Qandeel's brother to kill Qandeel but the Pakistani State has changed the police officers heading the police investigation numerous times and has allowed Mufti Qavi to avoid the investigating team by flimsy medical excuses. The same trend of beating students is also prevalent in publicly funded government schools in all rural areas of Pakistan as well as schools run by the Pakistan Armed Forces. Recently, a student was seriously disabled and almost killed by a teacher at a school run by the Pakistan Armed Forces in Sindh province, Pakistan.
