Dareechah presents videos of some select Urdu songs written by Anand Bakhshi
The simple yet moving lyrics of Anand Bakshi were enabled by Laxmikant Pyarelal's musical composition and the warmth and sheer celebration of all of Life's possibilities hidden within Mohammad Rafi's voice and the lilting and joyous rendition by Lata Mangeshkar ... from te 1980 bollywood movie "Aashaa"
This Anand Bakhshi song tells a story ... it is a simple story told in simple words... but it is nevertheless an important one ... it is a Lesson in Life's Truths ... a woman writes to her beloved... she waits a long time ... there is no reply.... one day her original letter is returned unopened to her by the postman... The postman tells her:
There is no lover
There is no lane where he lives
There is no city where Love dwells !!
