In 2010, I launched my web site "Dareechah" or "Magic casement opening on enchanted seas" of Modern Urdu poetry (borrowing from Keats)  with the aim of introducing modern Urdu poets to young Pakistanis all over the world.

      This evolved later into spreading awareness and appreciation for modern Punjabi poets as well.

      In 2013, I set about adding an online store for Urdu and Punjabi language electronic books to it under the web pages Dareechah Baazaar created within Dareechah web site.

      The Urdu and Punjabi e-books to be offered for sale here will be readable on desktop and laptop computers, tablets and e-book readers such as the  the  Amazon Kindle and Kindle Fire and other e-book readers etc.

     The types of Urdu and Punjabi e-books I aim to publish and sell online will include:

a) Selected Verse from the Collected Works of modern Urdu and Punjabi poets.

b) English Translations of selected modern Urdu works of poetry.

c)  Urdu translations of seminal modern fiction from Third World writers, especially authors from South Asia (Pakistan, India, Bangladesh), South East Asia (Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia) and Asia in general (Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, China, Tibet, Central Asian States).

d)  Re-publication of select Urdu and Punjabi fiction as electronic books.

Other Initiatives of  Dareechah-e-Nigaarish

• In the interim (a few years) when YouTube was not accessible by internet users located in Pakistan because it was blocked by the Pakistan government, I launched a Vimeo Channel entitled
  "Hum KahaaN Say Chalay Thayہم کہاں سے چلے تھے ۔ ۔ ۔"
  as of December, 2015 and will be uploading socio-political documentaries,  interviews that will build a people's history of the land called Pakistan ... all as time permits ... meanwhile, as of 2016, YouTube has been restored to Pakistani people and the Pakistani government has unblocked it.

• I have also started a blog entitled "Na-ee Manzil, Na-ee Raahein" at blogspot/Google to raise and highlight emerging issues in Urdu poetry and Urdu literature.

• In January, 2010, I launched a YouTube Channel entitled
  "Goonj - Modern Urdu Poetry !" comprised of music videos, interviews and  recitations of moden Urdu poems to this channel; some of the recitations will be by the poets themselves. I am pleased to say that as of July, 2022, my YouTube channel has attained more than 33,000 Subscribers and a total of 9.3 million views.
